Abstract

Recent advances in adaptive optics enhanced our understanding of optics of the eye and its impact on visual performance. It was found with adaptive optics that long-term neural adaptation to their native higher order aberrations compensated for some of the detrimental impact of optical blur on visual performance in highly aberrated eyes.
