Polymer-loaded hybrid plasmonic waveguides leveraging liquid cores for ultra-low-loss light guiding

Abstract

Hybrid waveguides incorporating liquid cores at the interfaces between the metallic surfaces and the polymer ridges are shown to support ultra-low-loss light guiding in an aqueous environment, promising for optofluidic and sensing applications.
