Abstract

The main problem with manufacturing of large convex mirrors is in their optical testing that requires high-precision optical components with diameters exceeding the testing mirror. To avoid this problem there is a side illumination scheme, in which a narrow collimated beam propagates normal to the axis of the testing mirror. Wavefront reflected from the mirror contains information about its shape. A lens raster wavefront analyzer is discussed. Method for obtain the shape of testing mirror by processing of measurement results is developed.
