Slow-light soliton stability with respect to atomic relaxation

Abstract

We solved the problem of slow-light soliton dynamics in the presence of strong spontaneous emission of excited atoms. We have demonstrated that the damping of the soliton is strongly suppressed due to the nonlinear interaction.
