Waveguide gratings for optical add-drop multiplexing of free space waves and guided waves

Abstract

Combination of waveguide gratings and utilization of supermode were proposed and discussed for dropping guided wave of specified wavelength to free space and for adding incident free-space wave to wavelength-multiplexed guided waves.
