Abstract

For diffraction gratings, a boundary integral equation Neumann-to-Dirichlet map (BIE-NtD) method is developed for problems in conical mounting. The method relies on boundary integral equations to calculate the NtD maps for homogeneous sub-domains of the structure. The method performs equally well for dielectric or metallic gratings.
