Polarization converters using optical nano-waveguides

Abstract

Polarization converters using optical nano-waveguides are proposed and investigated numerically. An extinction ratio of more than 15 dB is obtained over a wavelength range of 1.3 µm to 1.7 µm for an embedded air-core waveguide.
