Abstract

We present time-resolved X-FROG measurements of soliton dynamics near the second zero-dispersion point in microstructured fibers. Stabilization of the soliton against the Raman self-frequency shift by recoil from Cherenkov radiation emitted in the normal-dispersion region is observed.
