Drastic control of the radiative lifetime of nondipole-type excitons by manipulating the spatial structure of the radiation field

Abstract

By means of the nonlocal response theory, we demonstrate that the radiative lifetime of confined excitons with a nondipole-type wavefunction can be drastically controlled by manipulating the nanoscale spatial structure of the radiation field.
