Standoff Detection of Explosives and High Sensitive Detection of Chemicals in Drinking Water with Quantum Cascade Lasers

Abstract

Based on broadly tunable external cavity quantum lasers (EC-QCL) an imaging system has been developed for stand-off detection of traces of explosives. A similar EC-QCL serves for detection of hazardous chemicals in drinking water.
