Optical Control of the Electronic and Nuclear States in a Single Quantum Dot

Abstract

Optical control of negatively charged InAs quantum dots demonstrates control of both the nuclear spin fluctuations and electronic state preparation. Measurements show control of the spin Bloch vector, a geometric phase gate and increasing the electron spin coherence time.
