Millijoule-class Pulse Energy, High Peak Power Q-switching Large-Mode-Area Photonic Crystal Fiber Laser at 978nm

Abstract

An AOM Q-switching rod-type PCF oscillator operating at 978 nm is demonstrated. The laser achieves pulse of 3 mJ energy, 21 ns duration, up to 150 kW peak power at repetition rate of 1 kHz.
