Submarine Fibers with Novel Optical Properties Provided by a Restrict-Mode-Excitation Method

Abstract

By applying a restrict mode excitation method, we successfully reduced dispersion slope of NZ-DSF to -0.04 ps/nm2/km and enlarged Aeff of N-MDF as large as 53 μm2.
