Abstract

The nonlinear dynamics of femtosecond optical pulses propagating in solid media with anomalous group-velocity dispersion (GVD) is investigated. 3D collapsing pulses are shown to propagate by emitting quasi-periodically bursts of temporally-compressed light bullets.
