Focusing a Self-Defocusing Effect in Gold Nanoparticles

Abstract

An all-optical focusing system based on two-wave mixing is presented. The nonlinear refractive index exhibited by Au nanoparticles was modified by shifting the optical absorption band related to their Surface Plasmon Resonance.
