Abstract

In fiber Raman amplifier (FRA) systems, power impairments due to stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) are studied theoretically. We extend previous work on the statistical analysis of SRS crosstalk so that it can be applied to FRA systems, and show examples of SRS crosstalk in several typical dispersion-managed fiber links.
