Abstract

We investigated the high power problems in optical fiber link. In this paper, we focused on so-called the fiber fuse and damage of fiber coating. We experimentally show the threshold power of a fiber fuse and the correlation between the power and mode field diameter of the fiber. And we also show the differences of high power durability in various fiber coatings.
