Measuring poling-induced nonlinearities in Ge:SiON waveguides using a Bragg grating

Abstract

Thermal poling of a Bragg grating provides an excellent way of determining poling induced nonlinear effects in glass waveguides. We report nonlinear coefficients for negative thermal poling along with the induced dc electric field.
