In-fiber Bragg gratings for sensor applications at high temperatures

Abstract

Bragg gratings were written in metal-coated nitrogen-doped silica core fibers. The gratings remain functioning at temperatures up to 900 °C long-term and can be used as sensing elements in various applications.
