Investigation of a spectrally flat multi-wavelength DWDM source based on optical phase- and intensity-modulation

Abstract

We investigate a simple DWDM source based on phase- and intensity-modulation. A 31-channel frequency comb with ±1.5 dB power variation, penalty-free operation and operation over 100 nm is demonstrated. The coherent crosstalk concern in real systems is also addressed.
