Abstract

OTDM add-drop multiplexing at 80 Gb/s has been demonstrated with a simple and robust 50 m highly nonlinear fiber based (de)multiplexer. The scheme employs cross-phase modulation induced wavelength shifting with subsequent optical filtering.
