Auto-compensating Quantum Cryptosystem using Homodyne Detection

Abstract

We implement an experimental quantum cryptosystem using standard 1550nm channel devices with auto-compensation for phase instabilities in which balanced homodyne detection employs a time-multiplexed strong reference. We use a dual-threshold to improve QBER.
