Abstract

A novel 6-level DPSK based system and an efficient signal generation method are proposed to achieve 2.5bits/symbol coding, which enables 100Gb/s system using 40Gb/s device technology. Signal generation and reception are experimentally verified at 10.7Gsymbol/s.
