Abstract

Optical time-division demultiplexing a 160 Gb/s signal to 40 Gb/s tributaries by novel method of LiNbO3 amplitude modulator connected in a fiber-loop demonstrates lower bit-error rate power penalty than using a high performance electro-absorption modulator.
