Abstract

As a single-ring resonator is used for an optical cross-connect (OXC) switch, a large jitter of 30 ps and a low extinction ratio may occur due to delay and crosstalk. We propose a dual-drive, three-ring OXC, which exhibits a jitter of 8 ps and an extinction ratio of 20 dB.
