Tunable Microwave Photonic Filter with Programmable Apodization Based on Optical Comb

Abstract

We demonstrate the application of optical combs to implement microwave photonic filters with large number of taps. By utilizing optical delay and line-by-line pulse shaping we are able to tune and program the filter’s bandpass.
