Clock Distribution Scheme Using Signal Phase for Channel Identification in Optical Time Division Multiplexing

Abstract

We propose to use signal phase for clock distribution in OTDM to enable stable clock recovery and channel identification using minimum bandwidth. A stable 43-GHz optical clock recovery has been successfully demonstrated from 215-Gb/s OTDM signal.
