Abstract
The FTIR (Fast Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer) is a popular instrument for rapid and precise measurement of absorption of the IR light by molecules, especially in the gaseous state. Usually certain amount of the gas is sampled in a KBr cell and its transparency is measured. In- situ measurement in a vacuum or at extremely high temperatures was thus impossible.
