Abstract

Generally, fiber optic sensors have Implied a specific technology for the sensor which Is dependent on the parameter being measured. This has, for example, required that the electronics and optoelectronics associated with each measurement be unique; temperature sensor Instruments only function with temperature sensors and not pressure or refractive Index sensors. This paper reports the demonstration of a generic approach using cavity resonators to sense a family of parameters Including
