XUV multilayer coating design for attosecond pulse compression

Abstract

Multilayer techniques are used to obtain high reflectivity in the XUV spectral region. This work presents an optimization algorithm based on “evolutive strategy” for designing optimal “wide” band aperiodic multilayer mirrors for attosecond pulse compression.
