Passive Alignment Method for Micro Optical Connectors Using Lithographically Defined Features

Abstract

We demonstrated the feasibility of high precision alignment method using mechanically defined structures and lithographically patterned features. This method can be used for fabrication of high density optical connectors using polymer optical waveguides.
