Photon Transport in Luminescent Solar Concentrators based on Semiconductor Nanoparticles

Abstract

Photon transport in luminescent solar concentrators using semiconductor nanoparticles is modeled by Monte Carlo simulations. Using quantum dots proves to be highly efficient, while using aligned nanorods reduces the escape of light significantly.
