Abstract
DHS is pursuing a portfolio of research and development projects known as the Threat Assessment Portfolio, conducting a range of cross-cutting analytic automation research to address information needs for the Department. The goals of this portoflio include the development of automation for threat and vulnerability information integration to improve risk assessment and management for the homeland security community. Mr. Dennis will briefly describe selected portfolio efforts and introduce the framework for a recent effort to coordinate risk assessments with Canada to improve joint R&D investment as part of a risk management strategy for North America as part of the Security and Prosperity Partnership initiative.
