Abstract

We demonstrate the generation of large two-dimensional soliton lattices and investigate their waveguiding properties for red and infrared wavelengths. The control of these lattices is demonstrated, exploiting coherent and incoherent soliton interaction features. For applications in bidirectional waveguiding, which is of interest in self-adjustment of photonic devices, we investigate the formation of spatial solitons by counterpro-pagating beams, including colliding coherent solitons and bidirectional vector-solitons. The question of stability of these different configurations is addressed and dynamic scenarios are reported.
