Abstract

Using two-photon-excited photoluminescence of Au, local intensity enhancement factors for Au “bowtie” nanoantennas have been experimentally determined for the first time. Enhancements > 103 occur for 20 nm gap bowties, in good agreement with theoretical simulations.
