Broadband Cascaded Four-Wave Mixing in High-Q Silica Microspheres

Abstract

We demonstrate broadband, continuous-wave cascaded four-wave mixing parametric oscillation in the anomalous dispersion regime of a high-Q silica microsphere with an overall bandwidth greater than 100 nm and spectral features smaller than 10 MHz.
