Abstract

Efficient light-to-heat conversion due to ohmic loss in a Au/SiO2/SU-8 plasmonic microring resonator was exploited to achieve all-optical switching. We obtained 20 times larger resonance shift in the resonator over similar SU-8 dielectric microrings.
