Magnetic Response of a Resonant Nanoslot Antenna

Abstract

We reveal experimentally and theoretically the predominant magnetic dipole character of resonant slot nanoantennas. Upon excitation with local sources, the radiation differs strongly from off-resonant apertures, both in angular radiation patterns and polarization distributions.
