Non-absorbing high-efficiency counter for itinerant microwave photons

Abstract

We theoretically demonstrated that high-efficiency detection of single itinerant microwave photons in the non-absorbing manner can be achieved using a single transmon. The distinguishability between zero and one-photon state is up to 90 percent.
