Abstract

Al2O3/ZrO2multi-layers are used to encapsulate organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). OLED lifetimes of more than 20,000 h are achieved. For top-emitting OLEDs, the encapsulation layer increases the external quantum efficiency by more than 40%.
