Software-Defined Multi-Format Transmitter with Real-Time Signal Processing for up to 160 Gbit/s

Abstract

A software-defined multi-format transmitter is presented. Online signal generation with data rates up to 160 Gbit/s is demonstrated. The transmitter allows encoding of any modulation format ranging from OOK to 16-QAM at 30 GBd.
