Abstract
Optical coherence tomography enables imaging of tissue pathology in situ and in real time. Using ultrashort pulse lasers, ultrahigh resolutions of ~1 µm as well as spectroscopic imaging are possible. We review OCT technology and clinical applications including cancer diagnosis and surgical guidance.
