Abstract

Cross-correlation frequency-resolved optical gating (XFROG) using an angle-dithered nonlinear-optical crystal allows the measurement of the intensity and phase of ultrabroadband continuum generated using recently developed microstructure optical fiber. Our measurements reveal fine-scale structure in the continuum spectrum, which is confirmed by separate, single-shot measurements and simulations.
