A Novel Magneto-optic Switch Based on Nanosecond Pulse

Abstract

In this paper, a novel magneto-optic switch based on nanosecond pulse and high-speed magnetic field is proposed and analyzed. The switching time of the device is about 100~400ns, which is desirable for bit-level switching in fiber communications networks.
