Abstract

Tellurite glass with composition of 80TeO2-10ZnO-10Na2O (TZN-80) was made by melting and quenching techniques. This glass shows high transmission (≥80%) at 0.87~3.00 μm and good IR transmission up to 6 μm, and exhibits excellent physical properties against surface crystallization during fiber drawing.
