Abstract

A novel multiple-frequency Brillouin fiber-ring laser is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Based on this laser, the mechanism for the generation of high frequency microwave signal is proposed and partly realized. To confirm the feasibility of this method, a 11GHz microwave signal is obtained through the experiment.
