Cascaded Long-period Fiber Gratings on All-solid Photonic Bandgap Fiber

Abstract

We investigate the fabrication and properties of cascaded long-period fiber grating (LPFG) and cascaded chirped LPFGs on all-solid silica bandgap fiber. Coupling mechanism and polarization property are demonstrated and a tunable multi-wavelength fiber laser based on the cascaded chirped LPFGs has been proposed.
