Analysis of Metal confined AlGaInAs/InP Microdisk lasers Laterally Coupled to Two Waveguides

Abstract

AlGaInAs/InP microdisk lasers laterally coupled to two waveguides are fabricated and tested. An extinction ratio exceeding 20 dB is observed when external optical source is injected. The transmission spectra of the device are also analyzed.
