Optical properties of Yb3+-doped photonic crystal fiber with powder melting technology

Abstract

The Yb3+-doped PCF is prepared by powder melting technology based on high temperature plasma furnace. The optical properties are good and the background attenuation is less than 0.5dB/m. The peak shifts to longer wavelength as the length increases.
