Distributed Optical Amplification by Ultra-Long Fiber Ring Laser

Abstract

We proposed a novel distributed Raman amplification (DRA) scheme by ultra-long fiber laser pumping within a ring cavity. The key point is that the pumping efficiency degradation for linear cavity pumping could be avoided.
